Ardmore Specialises in Orthopaedic Surgery

Orthopaedic Surgery

Ardmore Orthopaedics is committed to providing medical services to promote health and wellness. As part of this commitment, the clinic is offering a range of treatments that will enable each patient to not only age gracefully, but also maintain an active and pain-free lifestyle.
With Dr Sean Ng at its helm, Ardmore Orthopaedic Clinic offers individual, specialized services in the field of orthopaedics. Among these are pain management and physiotherapy to sustain or retain the optimal strength and functionality of the muscles and joints. To treat serious musculoskeletal conditions, Ardmore provides minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery, the most popular are as follows:

Knee Surgery

The knee joints are one of the most overused parts of the body and very susceptible to injury. These literally bear the brunt of everyday wear, especially for athletes. To restore the optimal health of a damaged or diseased knee joint, Ardmore offers several options such as knee arthroscopy, in which a camera and microsurgical instruments are inserted through tiny incisions to access the knee joints from outside the body. Knee arthroscopy is useful for both diagnosing and treating knee problems such as a torn meniscus.
For more serious damages of the knee joints, a knee replacement may be required. Ardmore Orthopaedic Clinic offers total or partial knee replacement through minimally invasive or robotic surgery. Revision knee replacements are also available.

Bunion Surgery

Ardmore also uses minimally invasive techniques to perform bunion surgery. A bunion is a bony bump or deformity that develops on the base of the big toe. This causes the big toe to lean against the next toe, and if left untreated, can lead to severe pain and arthritis.
Bunion surgery is mainly done in three ways: osteotomy, where the big toe joint is cut and aligned back to its original position; exostectomy, where the bunion is removed without realigning the joint; and arthrodesis, where metal plates and screws are used to address the bunion deformity. Depending on the severity and symptoms of the bunion, the orthopaedic surgeon will decide the appropriate surgical method.

Ardmore Orthopaedic Clinic is an ideal clinic for comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for orthopaedic conditions. You may contact the clinic here.
